Immigration Compliance

Immigration compliance means meeting the rules governing a person's permission to enter, stay and work in a country. Employers may have verification, sponsorship and reporting duties.

Example

An employer verifies the appropriate work authorisation before a new employee starts and tracks conditions or expiry dates that require follow-up.

What to keep in mind

Do not assume citizenship, a visa or residence permission automatically permits every type of work. Follow current official requirements and apply verification processes consistently without unlawful discrimination.
