Voice of Employee

Voice of employee refers to the ways employees express views, concerns and suggestions and influence matters affecting their work. Channels can include conversations, surveys, representatives and formal processes.

Example

A company combines regular team discussions with a confidential reporting route and explains how suggestions are considered and decisions communicated.

What to keep in mind

Collecting feedback is only one part of voice. Employees need confidence that speaking up is safe and that relevant concerns will receive a considered response, even when their preferred action is not adopted.
