Preboarding

Preboarding covers the period between accepting a job offer and starting work. It prepares the new employee and employer through communication, necessary paperwork and practical arrangements.

Example

Before a new starter arrives, the employer confirms the location, schedule, contact person and equipment arrangements and securely collects required payroll details.

What to keep in mind

Keep requests proportionate and explain whether any tasks constitute paid work. Avoid collecting sensitive information through unsecured channels or assuming a candidate has started employment simply because they accepted an offer.
