Employee Lifecycle

The employee lifecycle describes the stages of an employment relationship, commonly including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and departure. It helps organise related responsibilities and experiences.

Example

An HR team reviews how information moves from an accepted offer to payroll, then from active employment to final pay and access removal.

What to keep in mind

The stages are a planning model, not a fixed path every employee follows. Internal moves, leave and returning employees may require different processes and more than one transition.
