Machine Learning in HR

Machine learning in HR uses algorithms that identify patterns from data rather than relying only on explicitly written rules. Applications include forecasting, document classification and recommendation systems.

Example

A service desk trains a model on previously labelled requests to suggest whether a new ticket concerns payroll, leave or system access.

What to keep in mind

Training labels may contain past mistakes or bias. Test performance on new data, monitor changes over time and allow staff to correct the model's suggestions before consequential action.
