Blended Learning

Blended learning combines different learning methods, commonly online activities with face-to-face or live instruction and workplace practice. Each part should contribute to the same learning outcome.

Example

New supervisors study a short online guide, practise conversations in a workshop and receive feedback when they use the approach with their team.

What to keep in mind

A blend is useful when the methods complement one another. Avoid repeating identical material across formats or adding sessions without a clear purpose in the learner's progress.
