Learning Experience Platform

A learning experience platform, or LXP, helps users discover and access learning content through recommendations, search or shared collections. Its emphasis is often learner discovery rather than course administration.

Example

An employee interested in project management finds recommended videos, internal guides and mentoring opportunities collected from several approved sources.

What to keep in mind

The distinction between an LXP and an LMS varies by supplier. Evaluate actual functions, content quality and data handling rather than assuming the product label guarantees a particular learning experience.
