CV Screening

CV screening is the review of a candidate's written career information against a vacancy's requirements. It is often an early step before interviews or more detailed assessment.

Example

A recruiter checks whether applications demonstrate the required certification and relevant project experience, using a checklist agreed before reviewing the candidates.

What to keep in mind

A CV gives incomplete evidence of capability. Avoid unsupported assumptions about career gaps, age or names, and distinguish essential criteria from preferences that can be learned after joining.
