Workforce Diversity

Workforce diversity describes differences among people in an organisation, including backgrounds, identities, experiences and perspectives. What is measured should depend on a clear and lawful purpose.

Example

An employer reviews representation across job levels to understand whether some groups are concentrated in entry roles but missing from senior positions.

What to keep in mind

Representation data does not show whether people are included or treated fairly. Collect sensitive information carefully, explain its use and protect privacy when group sizes are small.
