Visa Sponsorship

Visa sponsorship is an employer's formal support for a person's immigration application or employment permission under a country's rules. It can involve eligibility checks, documentation and continuing obligations.

Example

An employer with the required status supports an eligible candidate's application and prepares to meet the reporting and record-keeping duties attached to sponsorship.

What to keep in mind

Sponsorship does not guarantee approval or allow work before the required permission exists. Responsibilities vary by immigration route, so avoid promising outcomes or cost arrangements without checking the rules.
