Talent Pool

A talent pool is a collection of people who may be considered for current or future opportunities. It can include external applicants, former employees or internal staff with relevant capabilities.

Example

A recruiter keeps an authorised list of applicants with a particular language skill and contacts suitable members when a matching role is approved.

What to keep in mind

A pool describes available records, while a pipeline usually implies active engagement towards specific needs. Review consent or other applicable processing grounds, accuracy and retention before reusing candidate information.
