Roster Management

Roster management maintains the allocation of people to shifts or duties, including updates, swaps and absence cover. It keeps the working schedule accurate after initial planning.

Example

A supervisor updates the roster when an employee takes approved leave and confirms that the replacement has the required training for the assigned duty.

What to keep in mind

Keep a clear version and approval process so employees know which schedule applies. Last-minute changes should follow applicable rules and consider the effect on rest and personal commitments.
