Responsible Hiring

Responsible hiring uses fair, transparent and lawful practices to recruit people. It considers accurate job information, relevant selection, privacy and the treatment of candidates and workers throughout the process.

Example

An employer explains the real pay and working conditions, uses job-related assessments and checks that recruitment partners follow the agreed standards.

What to keep in mind

Responsibility extends beyond the employer's own interviews. Review agency practices, fees charged to workers where relevant and misleading promises, and provide candidates with a route to raise concerns.
