Referral Program

A referral program formalises how employees recommend candidates and any reward conditions for successful referrals. It specifies eligibility, submission rules and the hiring process.

Example

An employer offers a stated referral payment after an eligible candidate joins and meets the programme's written conditions.

What to keep in mind

Explain exclusions, payment timing and conflict-of-interest rules before referrals are made. A reward should not influence the assessment standard or encourage employees to submit personal information without an appropriate basis.
