Multigenerational Workforce

A multigenerational workforce includes people from several age groups working together. It creates opportunities for varied experience and knowledge-sharing while requiring fair access to work and development.

Example

A team pairs an experienced operator with a newer colleague to exchange process knowledge and familiarity with a recently introduced digital tool.

What to keep in mind

Do not assume knowledge flows only from older to younger staff or technical confidence only in the opposite direction. Design support around individual capability, interests and accessibility needs.
