Intranet

An intranet is an organisation's internal website or network for sharing information and resources with authorised users. It may host policies, news, directories and links to services.

Example

Employees visit the intranet to find the current travel policy and the approved process for requesting support.

What to keep in mind

An intranet is useful only when information is current and easy to find. Assign content owners, check access for non-desk workers and distinguish official guidance from outdated or informal material.
