Applicant Tracking System

An applicant tracking system, or ATS, manages vacancies, applications and candidate progress through recruitment stages. It helps recruiters organise records, communicate and coordinate selection.

Example

A hiring team uses an ATS to record interview feedback, track candidate status and identify applications awaiting a decision from the manager.

What to keep in mind

An ATS is a workflow tool, not proof of fair selection. Check screening rules, access permissions and retention settings, and provide an accessible application route for candidates.
