Workforce Supply Analysis

Workforce supply analysis examines the people and capabilities likely to be available to an organisation. It can include current staff, expected movements, development and external recruitment possibilities.

Example

A planner estimates how retirements, internal transfers and training completions could change the number of qualified engineers available next year.

What to keep in mind

Separate people counts from usable capacity and skills. Forecasts depend on assumptions about movement and development, so show uncertainty and avoid counting the same person as available for multiple full-time roles.
