Virtual Onboarding

Virtual onboarding introduces and supports new employees primarily through remote communication and digital tools. It covers practical setup, role learning and relationships without relying on an office-based induction.

Example

A remote starter receives equipment, meets colleagues through scheduled calls and works through supported tasks with a named manager and buddy.

What to keep in mind

Confirm access and equipment before expecting participation. Provide space for questions and relationship-building, and avoid replacing a useful induction with a long series of unattended videos.
