Travel Policy

A travel policy explains the conditions and procedures for work-related travel. It may cover approval, booking, cost limits, safety, accommodation and reimbursement.

Example

Before attending a client meeting, an employee checks the permitted travel options, approval requirements and documents needed to claim eligible costs.

What to keep in mind

Include practical support for disruption and employee safety, not only spending limits. International travel may also require separate checks on immigration, tax, insurance and permitted work activities.
