Labour Laws

Labour laws regulate work and employment relationships, including matters such as wages, working conditions, industrial relations and social protection. Their scope and terminology vary by country.

Example

An employer opening a new workplace checks the applicable national and local rules on hours, pay, registration and worker representation before starting operations.

What to keep in mind

Use current official guidance for the relevant location and worker category. A rule applicable to one industry, state or type of establishment may not apply unchanged elsewhere.
