HR Analytics

HR analytics uses workforce data and analysis to answer questions about employment practices and outcomes. It moves beyond reporting a number to examining patterns, explanations or possible actions.

Example

An analyst compares early departures across onboarding cohorts, accounting for role and location, to investigate whether a new induction process is associated with better retention.

What to keep in mind

An association does not prove causation. Check data quality, sample size and alternative explanations before changing a policy, and limit access to identifiable employee information.
