Expense Management

Expense management controls how work-related spending is requested, approved, recorded and reimbursed. It includes policy, evidence, budgets and handling exceptions.

Example

An employee submits a business travel claim with required receipts, and an approver checks eligibility before the claim is sent for payment.

What to keep in mind

Make rules clear before costs are incurred and provide an exception route. Expense controls should detect inappropriate spending without creating unnecessary delays for employees awaiting legitimate reimbursement.
