Equity and Inclusion

Equity and inclusion focuses on addressing relevant barriers and enabling fair participation at work. Equity considers differing circumstances rather than assuming identical treatment always produces fair access.

Example

An employer provides an accessible assessment format so a qualified applicant can demonstrate the same job-related capability measured for other candidates.

What to keep in mind

Explain the barrier and the adjustment clearly. Fairness does not require abandoning essential job standards, and legal requirements for equal treatment and accommodations depend on the jurisdiction.
