Employee Master Data

Employee master data is the core information used to identify and administer an employee across systems. It commonly includes employee ID, employment status, role, location and relevant payroll fields.

Example

A new employee receives one identifier that links their HR record, payroll setup and authorised system accounts without relying on their name alone.

What to keep in mind

Collect only necessary fields and protect sensitive details. Keep changes traceable and distinguish stable identity information from time-dependent records such as pay, manager and working hours.
