Compensation Fitment

Compensation fitment places a proposed or existing salary within an employer's pay structure. It considers the role's level, relevant experience, internal comparisons and applicable pay policies.

Example

A recruiter proposes an offer within the approved band and reviews it against the pay of employees doing comparable work before seeking approval.

What to keep in mind

Do not rely only on a candidate's previous salary or a percentage increase. Those approaches can perpetuate inequity and may be restricted by law in some locations.
