Candidate Sourcing

Candidate sourcing is the work of identifying and contacting people who may be suitable for a role. Sources can include applications, referrals, professional networks, databases and targeted searches.

Example

A recruiter searches for technicians with a required qualification, checks public professional profiles and sends relevant candidates a clear description of the vacancy.

What to keep in mind

Use job-relevant criteria and respect privacy and communication preferences. Finding a profile does not establish interest, availability or permission to retain personal information indefinitely.
