Candidate Slate

A candidate slate is the group of candidates presented for consideration at a particular recruitment stage, usually after initial screening. It supports comparison against the role's requirements.

Example

A recruiter presents a hiring manager with several candidates, summarising relevant experience and evidence against the agreed selection criteria.

What to keep in mind

A slate should not be assembled merely to fill a numerical quota. Explain criteria, disclose material gaps and ensure candidates receive consistent assessment and accurate information about the process.
