Candidate Journey

The candidate journey is the sequence of interactions a person has with an employer while considering and pursuing a role. It begins before an application and may continue into onboarding.

Example

A candidate first sees an employee's post, visits the careers page, applies, attends interviews, accepts an offer and completes preboarding tasks.

What to keep in mind

Map the journey from the candidate's perspective rather than only the recruiter's workflow. Identify confusing handoffs, repeated information requests and long periods without communication.
